Meeting Information
AASHTO has joined forces with the Wharton School to offer the first ever Wharton Transportation Executive Program (WTEP). This invitation-only program will run from September 29 to October 1, 2008, as part of the AASHTO Center for Excellence in Project Finance.
Over the last year, Wharton and AASHTO have worked together closely to understand the most pressing needs of State DOT executives. We have designed a program that will support DOT leaders as they navigate their complex external and internal roles and responsibilities. The program's innovative design will guide participants through top management issues, while also giving exposure to cutting-edge perspectives on transportation finance.
Specifically, the program will help DOT leaders to better:
- Consider impacts of transportation funding decisions on policy;
- Leverage public and private sector resources;
- Lead and manage change initiatives;
- Develop and test their organization's strategic direction in times of uncertainty; and
- Prioritize potential projects and opportunities.
